Touching nature (Discovering nature with the five senses)
Designed as a sensory trail with particular attention to the visually and motor impaired, the Lake and Mountain Tactile Museum of Natural Sciences is suitable for all ages to awaken curiosity and get in touch with nature. Its itinerary tells of the area's leading natural and environmental features, articulated in dioramas that reconstruct the different environments, accompanied by captions in Braille and relief drawings. The rural environment is at the entrance (the mountain pasture and the world of bees). This is followed by the high mountains, the rocks, and the coniferous forest with the animals that live there (eagle, ibex). A large room is dedicated to the deciduous forest, with badgers, foxes, squirrels, and various birds, including the owl, which has been chosen as the museum's mascot because it moves at night in conditions that make it difficult to see to the benefit of the other senses. The section dedicated to the reed beds and their avifauna concludes the visit.
Free admission.
