The choice of the program with authors of very different eras and styles, for this second appointment, again in the splendid setting of the Basilica of Island of San Giulio, we find that it harmonizes with this place where seven centuries of art. The artists involved in bringing music to life are prominent. The return of Enrico Bronzi, an all-round musician, one of the most important cellists of his generation and his historical colleague in the Trio di Parma, the violinist Ivan Rabaglia. At their side are the virtuoso violas of Francesco Fiore and Giuseppe Russo Rossi. The precious contribution of Matteo Pigato's cello, as well as the presence of a very young violinist Misia Iannoni Sebastianini, former leader of the brilliant Werther Quartet.
We will hear the notes of György Ligeti resound (100 years after his birth), with the transcendental Sonata for solo viola in the transcription for solo cello by Bronzi himself, combined with the Sonata for solo cello, to move on to the luminous expressive force of the Trio-Satz D.471 by Franz Schubert (with Rabaglia, Fiore, Pigato), to find all the artists in the performance of the magnificent String Sextet "Souvenir de Florence" by Tchaikovsky, a tribute to Italy perceived by foreign eyes.

Tickets for concerts in the Basilica of San Giulio’s Island, 1st, 2nd and 16th of July it will be sold in Orta San Giulio - Piazza Motta, near to the ferry landing point from 7.30 p.m.
The cost of ferry-crossing is not included
