Road access
To reach the starting point, take the A26 motorway towards Gravellona Toce, leaving at the exit for Verbania. Follow the signs for Verbania/Locarno (Switzerland). After the town of Intra, a hamlet of Verbania, take the SS34 highway to Cannero Riviera, then follow the signs to Trarego Viggiona (SP 64 provincial road).

Description of the itinerary
Varied, enjoyable route connecting Viggiona with Trarego, taking in some characteristic places of great emotional impact such as the Madonnina, offering a generous view of the lake, or the memorial stone for the 9 partisans killed in 1945. The hamlet of Cheglio is worth a visit, as is the Museo Tattile di Scienze Naturali (Tactile Museum of Natural Science).

Notes
The Madonnina path is uneven in places; steep descent from Trarego to Promé.
