To reach the starting point, take the A26 motorway towards “Gravellona Toce”, leaving at Arona. The motorway exit, about 5 km from Arona, is located at Oleggio Castello, which you must pass through.

Description of the itinerary
A quiet walk in the countryside, in the lakeside park stretching from Arona to Dormelletto, passing through Corso Europa. The walk starts from the Tourist Office of Arona, where you can also find more information about the route. Go past the train station and proceed to Arona’s recently opened and refurbished public beach (Corso Europa, 6). The Lido di Arona beach was first opened in July 1932, during the fascist period. The Lido was completely abandoned during the war. Later it housed a camp site. From the beach proceed in the direction of Dormelletto in a green area reserved for pedestrians and cyclists, which diverts attention from the rest of the city.
