WHAT TO SEE
The asphalt road that winds between the houses allows you to reach the Panoramic Point and observe the valleys surrounding the plain of the River Toce. Retracing our steps, we come across the old bread oven (also visible from the outside), which is still used today to bake the famous rye bread. Continuing along the same road we find the building where the counterweighted wine press is located (also visible from the outside), which has squeezed so many grapes over the years and, together with the oven, has provided an essential service to the community, guaranteeing economic independence and representing a unifying element in the life of the community itself. We return to the car park and drive towards the "Mulìt" area where, after crossing the bridge over the Rio Graglia, we can admire the presence of six small stone mills, lined up in series along the watercourse and used in the past for grinding cereals. Their wheels are now coming back to life thanks to a special integrated project called "the rye cycle". Continuing along the same road, still by car, we arrive at the gates of the stone village of Verigo, where it is possible to admire the ancient tradition of cultivation on terraces, the mixed deciduous woods with a prevalence of chestnut trees, the hay meadows and the fields: a real "open-air classroom" where you can relive ancient atmospheres and learn the values of rural mountain civilisation. From the Trontano station you can take the Vigezzina Centovalli train and continue to the villages in the Vigezzo Valley or arrive in Locarno. People with disabilities should send an email to info@vigezzinacentovalli.com or call +39 0324 242055 at least 24 hours before the journey, stating which trips they intend to use and the type of assistance service required according to their disability.

OVERALL ACCESSIBILITY DESCRIPTION:
The route has climbs of more than 8% on asphalt road, so if you are using a manual wheelchair, you will need an accompanying person. In order to enjoy the route to the fullest, it is advisable to be accompanied by a nature guide.
