Road access
To reach the starting point, take the A26 motorway in the direction of “Sempione – Confine di Stato” and leave at the exit for Varzo.

Description of the itinerary
Excursion reserved for lovers of the wild, uncontaminated nature found on the mountain pastures facing the town of Varzo, culminating with the peaks of Mount Rovale, Mezzogiorno and Albiona. Starting from the forecourt of the railway station, proceed to “Centrale” where a steep climb to Alpe di Lorino begins, following the GTA path for some of the time, but passing through Savaneria and Wolf first. After a packed lunch, continue along “L’alta Via", crossing “Frana del Pizzo Mezzogiorno”, to reach Alpe Albion, where a steep descent will take you to the large pasture of Nugna, where you will find an agricultural-forestry-pastoral track to return to Varzo.

Notes
Equipment: heavy walking shoes, sticks and usual mountain clothing.
