To reach the starting point, take the A26 motorway in the direction of “Sempione – Confine di Stato” and leave at the exit for Varzo.

Description of the itinerary
From the forecourt of Varzo railway station proceed by public or private transport to Ponte Campo, where you will meet the donkeys. An agricultural-forestry-pastoral track will take you up to Alpe Vallè, from there continue along an Italian Alpine Club-marked trail towards the mountain pastures Balmelle and Pianezzoni. At this point, with an optional detour of about an hour and a half, you can go up to the top of Mount Teggiolo (2,385 metres). The descent starts from the panoramic Possette Pass, which connects the Cairasca and Divedro valleys, taking in various pastures and ending in the hamlet of Bugliaga; proceed along the road from there, not without first having stopped to admire the ravine of Ponte del Diavolo (Devil's Bridge), to Trasquera, from where you can return to Varzo by public or private means.
