San Domenico Ciamporino

San Domenico is the starting point in the winter for the ski slopes of the Alpe Ciamporino (1975 m).

San Domenico, whose village is situated at an altitude of 1,420 meters, has 30 km of ski slopes and facilities for snowboarding and freestyle, open spaces and walking paths, alpine skiing and snowshoeing
Many NEWS enrich the 2010/2011 season as the all-new track "Casa Rossa-San Domenico".
In addition, a snow park totally renovated with new equipment to experiment acrobatic spins and jumps.
The opening of the lifts is guaranteed from December to early May due to a high quality natural snow
For alpine skiing, 30 km of professional ski runs served by 6 lifts.
The easy and wide slopes of the Alpe Ciamporino allow beginners to get close to ski or improve their techniques with confidence.
The site offers the possibility of hiking or snowshoeing.
In Trasquera there is a nice cross country trail of medium difficulty, 5 km ski run that is placed in an enchanting forest of conifers.

Every Saturday night at the Rifugio 2000 "Cena in QUota" with snowmobile

Evening program type:
7.40pm: We meet at the start of the ski lifts at San Domenico, transportation aboard the snowmobile "Snow Bus"

8.30pm: dinner at Rifugio 2000 in Alpe Ciamporino
After dinner we will be back to San Domenico or you can have the chance to sleep at the Rifugio 2000 (30 € per person- bed and breakfast)
