An exhibition on Marilyn Monroe
After almost 50 years since her untimely death, Marilyn Monroe’s appeal is still great and her legacy lives on. The exhibition "Marilyn Monroe Arte della Bellezza" (Marilyn Monroe, the Art of Beauty) proves it.
More than a hundred works of art inspired by this icon are on display at Villa Ponti in Arona – portraits, prints, sculptures and photographs made by famous international artists such as Bert Stern, Mimmo Rotella, Ugo Nespolo and, of course, the king of Pop Art Andy Warhol.
The exhibition also features several memorabilia, that are displayed for the first time in Italy. Dresses, shoes and other personal items belonging to America’s best-known blonde provide an even deeper insight into the star’s life.
The idea of the exhibition belongs to Carlo Occhipinti, in collaboration with Massimo Ferrarotti. The show is open every day until 28 November. Mon-Thu, Sun and holidays: 10.00am-12.30am - 14.30pm-19.30pm. Fri and Sat: 10.00am-12.30am - 14.30pm-22.30pm.
